On very rare occasions, a main line sewage leakage will catch the attention of the city officials. We not only had them out with us, but the local fire department, regarding a hazardous waste spill for some apartments. Nothing we couldn’t handle, bureaucracy doing their part to ensure the situation gets handled the right way, we are no strangers to that. If you receive an unusually high water bill, or you suspect you have a leak someplace, here’s what you do. First, you make sure all the water is off to the house, sprinklers are off, don’t flush toilets, for about 15 minutes. Then go out to your water meter, either in the sidewalk or on the exterior of your building, and watch the number for 15 minutes. If the number stays the same after the time is up, you don’t have a leak. But if you start to see the number climb, guess what? You got a leak. Highly recommend doing this when you’re in doubt, or call today to set up a service call 🤙
