The economy was very impoverished,
due to the stock market crash in 1929, which set off the Great Depression throughout the 1930s. This did not deter Mr. Many homeowners, in the 1930s, realized that they had an enemy that was destroying their most valuable asset, their home. The enemy's name was Subterranean termites. To make matters worse, almost every house was built on a pier and beam structure, which gave the termite's direct access to the structures of Wichita Falls. Mr. Shoop provided a solution for the residence of Wichita falls which began to grow into a legacy for generations to come. Shoop was a man of morals and had a passion for his community. He decided to offer anyone who desired, a complete termite inspection absolutely free. We still offer this free service today! By doing this, he discovered that 90% of the structures he inspected had termites. Shoop was often confronted with a family that just could not afford the treatments. However, he never turned away a customer in need. He would trade services or goods, he allowed customers to pay at their own pace, and he provided many applications at no charge. In this way, Mr. Shoop created a business known for its family values and dedication to the community. The main source of advertisement was word of mouth. When a home or business needed pest control services, the name on everyone's lips was Mr. In this way, he created a legacy for future generations to come. It wasn't long before his son, F.E. Shoop Jr. was the owner. Years later, F.E.'s sons purchased the business. Currently David Shoop Jr is continuing his great grandfathers business and has opened a new company rebranding the business name "ShoopsLegacy" in honor of Mr. FE Shoop SR.
