MK&M Turf is hiring skilled/unskilled laborers for artificial/synthetic turf installation. Pay rate depends on experience. Staring pay is $15 an hour.
-Training is available for the right candidates
Based in Wichita with jobs often in other states. If you are willing to drive to Wichita to leave for jobs with the crew, please apply.
Job Duties:
- Aid in the loading/unloading of trucks and trailers throughout the installation process.
- Install synthetic grass
- Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, sod cutters, power brooms, etc.
Requirements:
- Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills - must be able to carry out verbal instructions
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks
Work Conditions:
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Requires good manual dexterity
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and noise
Job Types: Full-time,
Pay: $15 to $50 per hour, with overtime, hotels paid by company
Schedule:
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Saturday
• Seasonal- March to October
• Some full year opportunities available
