Finished sodding a small project this afternoon at a friend’s house. Shaded areas that are also steep and close to a drainage creek like this lawn struggle to hold seed in place and are a good option to sod. You get instant erosion control and a nice lawn to enjoy. We start off by prepping the soil surface and making things smooth, prepping the irrigation and Of course before we leave we make sure the lawn has proper coverage and that everything is in working order to keep your investment alive and well.

Ofcourse with the hectic nature of the weather and the landscape industry I forgot to get more progress pictures of our demo, grading and irrigation system install. With that said, our customers are thrilled to have a newly sodded lawn that they can keep thriving with a new irrigation system. Last week we started removing a driveway. Now that the rain has passed we have gotten the lawn graded out and we will be meeting with the plumber soon to get a backflow device installed for this irrigation system build.

The rain is welcomed after two months of dry conditions but during seeding season every minute available to prep our job sites for seed is precious! Unfortunately we cant get much dirt work done in the mud but we did manage to get all of our concrete from this project hauled off and our mounds of soil excavated and set aside. 🌧️ 🚜

Follow along as we reclaim this front landscape by removing the concrete drive through, regrading the yard, installing a new irrigation system and seed it to fescue. 🤩 🤌

Sometimes a few small projects pop up and we are more than happy to help. We had an old friend ask us to excavate the sand from where their kids play set was so we hauled off about 10 tons of built up sand and hauled in topsoil and blended the old playground into the rest of the yard and left them prepped to seed the empty space. After we did our work you would never know there used to be a play set and sand pit here.

A few weeks ago we added an irrigation zone, conditioned the soil and hydro seeded this lawn that was in need of some help. We used our local site one’s casino royale Bermuda seed and the results show for themselves. We have very strong germination. With a shot of fertilizer this lawn will be looking top notch. 🤩 🌱 💦 🚜

One day we’re building a retaining wall and the next we’re grading yards and hydroseeding! Late summer means we are wrapping up our landscape orders and getting ready to unleash a full out assault on re grading lawns in preparation for fall seeding! We recently welcomed home a new to us bobcat T770 to help keep us powerful and efficient! This machine coupled up with our CMP hydra bucket keeps us ahead of the competition on finish grading by bringing a smooth finish grade for sod or hydroseeding that is unmatched in the Wichita area!

We have been crazy busy with a variety of projects lately from lawn grading to a new concrete driveway drainage culvert. We are currently putting the finishing touches on an erosion/ drainage correction project which includes a new 80’ long castle- style Retaining Wall! We will reveal the full pictures of that very soon! As always we appreciate all of our customers and your patience as we progress through the summer!
