Kansas doesn’t have mountains. We don’t have an ocean. *gasp* It’s true.

But we have a LOT more than we give ourselves credit for!

From lakes and rivers to prairie, trails, wildlife, wide-open skies and some seriously beautiful places to explore, Kansas has a little something for everyone.

The problem? We’re not always very good at telling people about it.

Chad recently joined a panel for Leadership Wichita focused on economic development and shared why he thinks Kansas could do a better job of promoting the incredible quality of life we already have right here.

Maybe we don’t need to be somewhere else to find adventure. Maybe we just need to get better at appreciating (and talking about) what’s in our own backyard.

Kansas: you’re pretty cool. We should probably tell people.

Boarded up for decades. Forgotten by many. But not forever.

Built in 1911, the historic Riverside pagoda posted quietly in Wichita Riverside Park for more than a entry. After being closed off since the 1960s, we’re honored to partner with Kansas Wildlife Exhibit to give this beloved landmark new life!
