⚠️ Wichita & Surrounding Areas – Please Be Careful When Hiring a Locksmith ⚠️

Over the past week alone, we’ve received an overwhelming number of calls from people who have been scammed or left with damaged vehicles after hiring the wrong locksmith.

Here are two of the biggest issues we’re seeing:

🚨 Deposit Scams – Customers are being asked to send a “deposit” or “appointment reservation fee.” After the money is sent, the locksmith never shows up. In some cases, they continue asking for even more money before disappearing.

🚗 Untrained & Uncertified Locksmiths – We’ve also been called to vehicles that were accidentally disabled because someone without the proper training or equipment attempted to program keys. Modern vehicles require specialized tools, software, and procedures. One mistake can leave a vehicle completely inoperable, leading to repairs that cost thousands of dollars.

At iKeyICT, we are bonded and insured, and we NEVER ask for payment upfront to reserve an appointment. You pay when the job is completed. We believe that’s how honest businesses should operate.

Before hiring any locksmith:

✅ Check their reviews.
✅ Make sure they’re a legitimate local business.
✅ Ask if they’re bonded and insured.
✅ Be cautious of anyone requesting money before they even arrive.
✅ If a price sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
