Early Fall Yard Checklist!!

September is a good time to start looking ahead before the heavy leaves and rain arrive.

A few things worth checking now: overgrown shrubs, clogged drainage areas, dead plants, w**ds going to seed, and branches or debris collecting around the house.

Don’t Let Blackberry Vines Come Back Stronger!

Cutting blackberry vines down is only the first step. If the root crowns and new growth are ignored, they can come right back.

The best approach is to keep an eye on the area and deal with new shoots while they’re still small. Staying ahead of them is a lot easier than starting over once they take hold again.

Small cleanup we knocked out in McMinnville this weekend. 👍

We cleaned up the pine needles and cones, refreshed the area around the fire pit with new 3/4 minus rock, did some general cleanup, and cleaned the garage gutters while we were there.

Not every job has to be a huge project. Sometimes a good cleanup and a little fresh material is all it takes to make a property look cared for again.

Hot weather can be hard on lawns and plants, but watering longer and less often is usually better than a quick spray every day.
Early morning is best because it gives the water time to soak in before the heat of the day.
