Experienced Low Voltage / AV Technician Wanted – Traverse City

We are looking to add an experienced Low Voltage Technician with Audio / AV experience to our growing team at Shoreline Power Services.

We install and support a wide range of systems including:

• Commercial audio & sound systems
• Structured cabling (Cat6 / fiber)
• Security cameras
• Card access systems
• Nurse call systems
• AV systems and displays

This is not just cable pulling. We are looking for someone who understands system installs, troubleshooting, and clean rack work.

What we offer:

• Competitive pay based on experience
• Company vehicle (depending on role)
• Steady year round work

Typical work includes:

• Installing speakers, amps, and AV equipment
• Building and terminating racks
• Running and terminating Cat6 / fiber
• Installing cameras and access control
• Troubleshooting and system startup

Ideal candidate:

• 3+ years low voltage experience
• Experience with audio / sound systems a big plus
• Ability to read prints and work independently
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Work primarily in Traverse City MI area, with occasional travel depending on projects.

• Safe driving record
• Able to work 7:00-3:30pm at a minimum
• Able to identify tools and equipment used in the electrical field
• Able to be trained and utilized computer for equipment and tooling tracking
• Good communication skills
• Able to pivot from planned daily tasks to support customers and employee needs
• Able to take direction and support our field/management activities with a great attitude
• Must be self-motivated
• Partial list of position description include; basic facility maintenance, warehouse cleanliness, equipment and tooling tracking, equipment and tooling deliveries, scheduling tooling needs for field operations, organizing of materials stored in our warehouse
• May require registration with the state of Michigan, as an electrical apprentice or Journeyman electrician, as the applicant may be required to work on remote projects

This is a full time position and pay will be based on experience.

Shoreline Power Services is looking to add a team member to take on the role of Data Communications Manager.

Our Williamsburg (Traverse City) office is seeking to hire a fulltime experienced data communications manager. Duties will involve establishing relationships and cost-efficient deals with suppliers, attract more customers, and handle overseeing the installation of projects that were bid on. You are also expected to recruit and train new hires as per our company's policies. A solid understanding of low voltage cabling, cameras, and data access is mandatory for this position.
Manager responsibilities
• Recruit, train and evaluate the performance of staff
• Bid on low voltage, camera or data access projects.
• Be involved in the installations of the projects that we successfully awarded.
Manager requirements
• Results-driven approach and willingness to make the necessary changes to drive more sales
• Ability to train and motivate staff to perform their best
• Ability to work under pressure at a varied schedule
• Responsible for interaction with customers, vendors and staff.
