To those of you worried about having to shave your facial hair for safety reasons as a result of this virus, I hope my following message brings you strength in these dark times:
I have not been without facial hair in over 13 years so I definitely relate to the fear of shaving. If I shave, I'm going to wear a mask everywhere so my face can't be seen. I don't think I could handle the weeping or gnashing of teeth from woman and children while the men call me names like Susan, Debbie, or Chaz just before forcing me to wear a clip on man-bun. I think I would rather watch The Amityville Horror all alone at night while staying in a cabin out in the middle of the woods with no phone or help for several miles than to be called Chaz. To all of the furry faced fellas facing a frightening facial future, I say never forget, our follicles will flourish again!!
In all seriousness, I do hope everyone is staying safe and busy if forced to be home. This will be the first Easter in several years without my daughter due to safety concerns and it sucks. With the severity of my emphysema, this virus would be very dangerous, especially with what it's now doing to healthy people and children. We will get through this if we work together to keep each other safe. Our lives literally depend on it!!

I just finished up this tow hitch about an hour ago. I got all of the patching done first and was able to get the area that was completely rotted through filled in, ground down flat, and then reinforced with a metal plate like the other spots. It did have extensive amounts of rust that needed to be removed before being sandblasted and that caused severe pitting over a large portion of the tow hitch. I filled in the pitting as much as I could but there's only so much powder that can be sprayed. It still looks a lot better than it did when it arrived. It is coated with an Alloy Silver base and a Lollipop Purple top coat from This is one of those projects that you learn from after having to spend way more time on it than originally planned. I can plan accordingly for any future projects that come through in similar condition.

Although today was a VERY long day and it made me want to light myself on fire, I got through it while making the long trip to pick up 2200lbs of new sandblast media and the new Co2 laser engraver. The company I purchased the laser from dropped the ball with the shipping. I not only paid $338 plus $75 for liftgate service that never happened, I also ended up having to fork out almost $1k to rent a truck with a liftgate, buy a brand new pallet jack (that one I'm happy about because I needed it😊), fuel, tolls, and enough Red Bull and coffee to stop an elephant's heart. Anyone who says that owning a business is easy doesn't own a business. I am extremely stoked to start creating very detailed backlit etched acrylic pieces for people.

You can see in the photos that this Dodge tow hitch was in desperate need of attention. I was able to remove all of the thick heavy rust and expose areas that were starting to rot through. I'm reinforcing it using 3/16" steel plating and then it'll go into the sandblasting booth, followed by all necessary preperations for the Alloy Silver base coat with Lollipop Purple top coat powder from

Here's a bunch of Evo parts owned by coated in Nocturnal Gold with Clear Vision top coat and Diamond Pearl with Clear Vision top coat from I of course forgot to snap a photo of the valve cover. I also still have to finish the wheel faces but I ran out of sandblast media which I will be picking up Tuesday from a supplier in Morrisville Pa. 2200lbs should last quite a while so I'm pretty stoked I won't have to run all over the place trying to source more. I definitely look forward to seeing these parts installed. Both colors look incredible together and will be even better mated to his Diamond Pearl White Evo.

Wheels from an Indian Motorcycle. They needed to match the tank's accent color as close as possible and we landed on a color from an in stock color swatch. It is Stealth Charcoal with Clear Vision top coat from It's actually a flat color so we decided to add the high gloss clear which really added depth to the color. It had some really hard areas to get to but I was able to get them finished properly.

1972 BMW Motorcycle restoration. Customer drug one out of a barn and spent 7 months restoring a numbers matching classic. He wanted the frames powder coated black with about 80 gloss units so we went Ral 9005 from It is jet black with 71-85 gloss units and he couldn't be happier with the finish.

As some of you know, I started getting into creating backlit etched acrylic signs (see photos of previous work) and really enjoy making them. I wanted to provide more services besides powder coating. I was pretty limited on the images I could create using vinyl stencils and sandblasting so after a lot of research and clearing space for an 800lb machine, I finally ordered an industrial 100W Co2 laser engraver/cutter today capable of engraving images up to 1000dpi onto 36" x 24" acrylic sheets. 600-700dpi is what I'll need to engrave actual photos of cars, people, animals etc etc. Today is a pretty exciting day and I already have pretty big plans for the first image going out to be reviewed. The new engraver should be here in about a week to 10 days and it will take a couple of weeks to get a hang of the software and settings required based on the substrate. I'll be learning in between powder coat projects.
