Progress update on this 1960 basement project 👷‍♂️

A lot of people see the finished floor and never see the steps that actually make it last. Right now we’re at one of the most important stages — installing the moisture v***r barrier (MVB).

Older concrete can allow moisture v***r to travel up through the slab. If that isn’t handled correctly, it can eventually cause issues with flooring systems down the road. Proper prep and the right system underneath matter just as much as the final topcoat.

This is the part most people never see, but it’s what separates a floor that lasts from a floor that doesn’t. More progress photos coming soon. 🔥
