Side load bucket on the Cat 259 for the win! Makes placing sand directly in a utility trench efficient and easy. The crew is working on a large underground utility project this week in Covelo and they’re rocking it!

Good morning everyone! It’s been a busy past few weeks, working night shift in San Jose for Valley Transportation Authority. We are replacing signal cabinets that were damaged due to vandalism/stealing of the negative returns for the overhead cantenery. The overhead system has 600vdc so when vandalism occurs electricity finds the next path which was unfortunately through the signal cabinets. To say the location is challenging is an understatement, all elevated rail in a train station in between Hwy 87. We have had to build in house risers to accommodate the cabinets along with various other items that have came up. Thank you to our crew that doesn’t stop and just gets the work done! More photos as the work progresses.

Good morning everyone!! Another challenging yet productive week with multiple projects getting completed. We are wrapping up track work on the Willits Rail Trail and our crossing project in Stockton for Industrial Railways /Home Depot. Thank you to crews that always work through heat, shipping challenges and always unforeseen utilities.

It’s been a busy week, a few water lines installed and finished out the week doing a little road rehabilitation with culvert installation and some drainage control and we will finalize the work next week with water and grading.
