On the University of Chicago Medicine Cancer Hospital, Air Design Systems delivered mechanical work across more than 575,000 square feet all within a tight urban footprint.

Complex projects don’t allow for guesswork: especially in active healthcare environments.

At the University of Chicago Medicine Cancer Hospital, Air Design Systems led 40 weeks of BIM coordination at our BIM Coordination Center, followed by off-site prefabrication of an air design system covering 575,000 SF of space.

Working within a tight urban footprint, our team coordinated daily deliveries, managed crane operations, and installed major mechanical systems with precision including 24 air handling units placed using a specialized gantry system.

The result: efficient installation, reduced field risk, and systems built to perform.
