๐ถ๏ธ๐ฑ Meet Our Microgreens: For the Flavor Lovers!
If you think all microgreens taste like... well, greens, this group might surprise you!
Some of the smallest greens we grow pack the BIGGEST flavors, ranging from a gentle peppery bite to a "whoa, that's spicy!" finish. ๐ฅ
๐ถ๏ธ Radish: Crisp, fresh, and unmistakably radishy with a peppery bite. We grow several varieties, each bringing its own beautiful color and level of heat.
๐ฟ Arugula: That familiar peppery arugula flavor in a tiny package. One of our favorites for eggs, steak, sandwiches, pizza, salads, and more.
๐ฅ The Mustards: This is where things get fun! We grow spicy mustard, wasabi mustard, mizuna mustard, red tatsoi mustard, and komatsuna (mustard spinach). Some are mild with just a little zip, while others bring a much bolder mustard or wasabi-like heat.
๐ฑ Garden Cress: Peppery and slightly tangy with notes that can remind you of mustard and horseradish.
๐ธ Nasturtium: Beautiful AND edible! The leaves bring a fresh, peppery bite, making them just as fun to eat as they are to look at.
And while we're talking about flavor, these little greens bring nutrition to the plate too. Many of these varieties belong to the same broader plant family as the cruciferous greens we introduced in our last post, so they can provide vitamins, antioxidants, and naturally occurring beneficial plant compounds.
The best part? You don't need a complicated recipe. Add a handful to burgers, sandwiches, tacos, eggs, avocado toast, steak, salads, wraps, or whatever is already on your plate. ๐ฝ๏ธ
Sometimes a little fresh heat, crunch, color, and BIG flavor is all a meal needs. ๐ฑ
Now we have to know...
๐ถ๏ธ Are you TEAM MILD or TEAM SPICY? ๐ฅ
And for those of you who have sampled our greens at a market, which spicy variety surprised you the most?
