On Monday, we hosted our Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting Blood Cancer United, and what a day it was! Together, we raised an incredible $75,000 to help fund lifesaving research and support for patients and families facing blood cancer.

It’s Careers in Construction Month, and our Director of Business Development in Savannah, Clarence Satchell, has a message for employers, schools, and parents: most kids can’t picture a construction career because they’ve never seen one.

Clarence got his start through a grandmother who ran a general contracting business and a mentor who gave him a chance to learn the trade. Now his own kids are getting a look at the job site.

Workers under 25 make up less than 10% of the construction workforce. Exposure is how that changes. From trades days on our job sites to our partnership with RISE and our All-Star Internship program, we’re working to open the door.

Last Thursday, Samet was proud to be the presenting sponsor of the annual Social and Networking Event hosted by the NC A&T Built Environment Construction Management Advisory Board.

The turnout was fantastic! 18 companies and more than 100 students came together to connect, share stories, and talk about what a career in construction can look like. 6 students also received $8,500 in scholarships. Congratulations to each of them!

Last Thursday, we broke ground on Firehouse 44 alongside the City of Charlotte. 🔥🌲

This 14,000 SF, three-bay firehouse will serve the growing River District community and will be the first mass timber firehouse in the Southeast. As design-builder, we're proud to partner with the City and ADW Architects on a project that puts sustainability and public safety side by side.
