Construction Safety Week starts today, May 4–8, and we’re proud to recognize the crews, operators, and field teams who make safety a priority every day. Every successful project begins with a commitment to planning ahead, staying aware, and looking out for one another.

This week, we reaffirm that safety is more than a policy, it’s the foundation of everything we build. Thank you to every team member who helps ensure everyone goes home safe at the end of each day.

🚧 Project Update 🚧

We’re wrapping up the first phase of construction at the North Port Railyard Expansion, completing a 3-ft surcharge across the site. This allows the ground to settle and strengthen, setting the foundation for long-term performance.

Once in place, the surcharge will remain for approximately four months before removal as we prepare for the next phase of construction.

National Work Zone Awareness Week.

This week serves as an important reminder that safety in work zones is everyone’s responsibility. Every cone, sign, and barrier represents crews working hard to build and maintain the infrastructure we all rely on daily.

Slow down. Stay alert. Respect the zone.
Lives depend on it.

🚧 Progress Update: Grading Nearing Completion 🚧

Grading operations for the North Railroad Expansion at the Port of Wilmington are wrapping up, marking a major milestone in the early phases of this project. Over the past several weeks, our crews have worked diligently to shape and prepare the site, creating a solid foundation for the rail infrastructure that will follow.

On site at the CFPUA Water Treatment Facility with General Superintendent Greg, where our team is making strong progress removing surcharge.

Crews are currently moving approximately 2,500 cubic yards per day, maintaining steady production as we continue this phase of work over the next two and a half weeks. This effort is a key step in preparing the site for final grading and ensuring long-term stability across the project.
