At the Spark ILM celebration on October 1, we learned that Thomas ranked #14 among the Greater Wilmington Business Journal’s 2026 Best Places to Work.

The photos probably say it better than we can. What makes Thomas a great place to work isn’t just what we build. It’s the people we build it with.

From jobsites and project milestones to fishing trips, family events and plenty of moments in between, our people are what make Thomas, Thomas.

We’re proud to be recognized among Wilmington’s Top workplaces, and even more proud of the team behind the recognition.

During the month of October, our team is wearing pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Together, we show our support for those fighting, honor those we've lost, and celebrate the survivors who inspire us.🩷

Today, the Town of Topsail Beach, North Carolina broke ground on an investment that will serve its community for years to come.

The new Public Safety Building represents the largest single investment in the Town’s history, made possible in large part through $8 million in state-allocated funding. Following a competitive design-build selection process, Thomas Construction Group and our design partner, Becker Morgan Group, were selected to help turn the Town’s vision into a purpose-built home for its Police and Fire Departments.

Since then, this project has been shaped by collaboration. Working closely with Town leadership and Becker Morgan Group, Inc., our team has moved through planning and design with a shared focus on creating a facility that responds to the needs of those who serve Topsail Beach while supporting the resilience of this coastal community.

Today’s groundbreaking marks the transition from planning to construction, and Thomas is proud to take that next step alongside the Town and our design partners.

Thank you to the Town of Topsail Beach for the trust placed in our team. We’re ready to get to work.

You don't build a great team by keeping what you know to yourself. Every person on this team carries the responsibility of making the people around them better, more capable, more confident, more ready for what's next.

You build it by bringing people in. Teaching what you know. Learning what you don't.

On July 31st, dirt moved at Midtown YMCA, but the real work started long before that.

Months of conversations around a conference table. Questions asked, ideas challenged, problems solved before they ever hit the field. That's what got this $15M expansion to a groundbreaking, and it's what will carry it through construction.

When it's finished, Midtown YMCA will have a new indoor pool, a wellness center, an outdoor Airnasium, and double the child care capacity, serving 6,000+ additional members a year in southern New Hanover County. All while staying open to the community it already serves.

We're proud to be building this one alongside LS3P and the YMCA of Southeastern North Carolina. Thank you for trusting us with it.

Somewhere between a fishing trip, a handful of jobsite visits and countless conversations with people who weren't even their official mentors, this summer's interns found something they didn't expect: a network.

They compared notes with interns from other offices. They shadowed superintendents on one site and project managers on another. They left with more than a line on a resume, they left considering their future with us.

That's the kind of summer we set out to build.

Thank you to our Intern Class of 2026. We're wishing you the best of luck this semester, and we hope to see you back on site soon.
