Complete Chimney Repointing & Flashing Restoration by J. R. Walker Roofing

J. R. Walker Roofing recently completed a full chimney restoration project on this stone masonry chimney. The scope of work included grinding out deteriorated mortar joints and repointing the entire chimney with new mortar to restore structural integrity, improve weather resistance, and preserve the original appearance of the stonework.

In addition to the masonry restoration, our team removed the existing flashing system and installed new custom-fabricated aluminum base flashing and counterflashing at the roofline. The new flashing was professionally integrated with the chimney and roofing system to create a long-lasting, watertight seal that protects against leaks and moisture intrusion.

By combining complete chimney repointing with a new flashing system, this restoration significantly extends the life of the chimney while enhancing both its performance and curb appeal. The finished project provides durable protection from the elements and ensures the chimney remains structurally sound for years to come.
