Like carrying groceries into the house, we like to make it count in one trip — safely, of course.

Equipment is rolling out from our Saint Mark's HS project and heading to the next stop. One jobsite to the next, one phase to the next — that’s how we keep things moving at GFP Cement Contractors.

Any guesses where we’re headed? 👀

| Formed. Reinforced. Poured.

Our GFP Cement Contractors crew was in Wilmington today at Northeast Body Shop, placing 10 CY of concrete for the ramp’s reinforced retaining wall system.

This pour is part of a larger pavement and slab replacement scope, helping rebuild the ramp area with reinforced concrete walls on each side before the surrounding pavement work continues.

Another solid step forward for the team. đź’Ş

| Big machines. Bigger consequences.

For Week 2 of National Safety Month, we’re focusing on Staying Safe on the Roads — and on a construction site, those “roads” look a little different.

On a construction site, awareness is everything. Heavy machinery like volumetric concrete mixers, pump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and cranes create serious hazards when crews lose focus or communication breaks down.

At GFP Cement Contractors, safety is the top priority on every project. We help protect our crews by staying out of blind spots and swing radiuses, wearing high-visibility gear, using designated walkways, maintaining clear communication between operators and ground crews, and staying alert around moving equipment at all times.

Heavy equipment keeps the job moving — safety keeps our crews going home.

| Light pole base pours at Crossroads 95.

Our GFP Cement crew was on site pouring concrete light pole bases as part of the project’s site lighting scope in Newark, DE.

With forms in place and anchor bolts set, each base is poured to support future light pole installation and keep the site’s electrical infrastructure moving forward. The overall scope includes trenching for site lighting conduit, backfill, and coordination around the project’s utility layout.

Another step forward at Crossroads 95.

| Stop the Drop! 🍉

This morning, team members from GFP Cement Contractors and GFP Mobile Mix Supply, LLC attended Delaware Contractors Association’s Stop the Drop safety training — a hands-on reminder of the serious risks of dropped objects and struck-by hazards.

The training focused on struck-by hazards, head and spinal cord injury prevention, proper PPE, hard hats/helmets, and tool tethering. With real-world insight from ChristianaCare and live demonstrations showing the impact of dropped objects from height, the message was clear: what falls from above can have a major impact below.

A strong way to kick off Week 1 of National Safety Month: Moving Safety Forward.

Thank you, DCA and ChristianaCare, for an impactful training!

| The scale of progress.

Aerial views tell the story from a whole new perspective.

Our Dover, DE drop lot expansion continues to take shape, and from above, you can really see the size, layout, and transformation of the site.

What started as unused land is becoming a functional drop lot built for heavy use — and the progress is hard to miss.

| From prep to placement at Saint Mark's HS.

GFP Cement Contractors recently completed a 35 CY slab pour for the new gym expansion at Saint Mark’s High School.

With reinforcement, v***r barrier, insulation, construction joints, and slab prep in place, our crew worked through another key phase of the project.

Concrete was supplied by GFP Mobile Mix Supply, LLC and placed with support from their concrete pump truck for efficient, controlled placement.

Another solid step forward for the expansion — and another great example of our teams working together from prep to placement.
