One project’s excess becomes another project’s progress.

At VanDomelen Acres, our team excavated material that could be utilized elsewhere. Instead of letting an abundance of dirt go to waste, we transferred it to Bailey Meadows, where it’s now helping advance the next phase of construction.

This is simply another example of how our teams coordinate across projects to work smarter, move efficiently, and make the most of what is already on site.

At VanDomelen Acres in Hillsboro, our Heavy Civil team is transforming 6.5 acres of raw, tree-covered land into a 58-lot single-family attached neighborhood.

Right now, the focus is underground: utilities, stormwater infrastructure and sitework are setting the foundation for everything that comes next.

Another site is moving forward with the infrastructure to make what comes next possible. This is the kind of groundwork our Heavy Civil team was made for.

What was once an active construction site is now a community where residents can gather, connect, and feel at home.

From the underground infrastructure to the final amenity spaces, every phase of East Park Apartment Homes came together to create a community designed for modern living. The completed community features a clubhouse, community lounge, swimming pool, fitness center, athletic court, and outdoor gathering spaces.

It's always rewarding to see months of planning, coordination, and craftsmanship become a place people are proud to call home.

This summer, one camera, one drone, and one intern helped document more than 30 project sites across Oregon and Southwest Washington.

From Heavy Civil and Restoration to Commercial, Specialty Projects, community events, and FABCO, Luke has spent the summer capturing the people, projects, and progress that tell the story of what we build. The hundreds of photos and hours of video he created will continue supporting our marketing efforts long after his internship comes to an end.

At I&E, internships are about more than gaining experience. They're about providing meaningful, hands-on opportunities, building relationships, and helping develop the next generation of industry professionals.

As we celebrate National Intern Day, we'd like to thank Luke for his hard work, professionalism, curiosity and positive attitude throughout the summer. We appreciate everything you've accomplished and wish you all the best as you head back to college this fall.

Strong developments are built on even stronger foundations.

Panzer site development is now complete and ready for what's next. Extensive site preparation, underground utilities, roadway improvements, and final grading have created the infrastructure needed for future development.

Heavy civil construction is rarely the most visible part of a project, but it's often the most essential. Long before buildings take shape, the work below the surface creates the foundation that allows communities to grow.
