If you're unfamiliar with ICF, let us explain. ICF is short for Insulated Concrete Forms and is a system of formwork for reinforced concrete. Usually made with a rigid thermal insulation that stays in place as a permanent interior and exterior substrate for walls. When comparing ICF to conventional framing, the key difference is ICF offers significant energy efficiency due to its higher R-value insulation and concrete core. ICF blocks are lego-like, double-insulated, interlocking blocks that are dry stacked (without mortar), steel-reinforced then filled with concrete. These blocks are available in a number of shapes, sizes and concrete core thickness. Firm Strips inside of these blocks allow you to directly install drywall to the block itself for your interior and your siding preference for the exterior without any extra steps. What does all this mean for you? Lower heating and cooling costs (up to 50%), fire resistance, superior sound proofing and durability over time, making it a more cost effective, and a "go green" option for your home.

While digging this foundation we discovered ground water coming through the walls. After diverting the water and installing drainage systems under future slab the footers are in.
