First impressions start before you ever open the front door.

This resurfaced front porch is a great example of how updating one element can give an entire entrance a fresh, finished look.

The new surface complements the stone, white columns and landscaping without taking away from the character of the home — and gives an existing porch a completely different feel without starting over.

Porches, patios, pool decks and other outdoor spaces can all be candidates for resurfacing depending on the existing surface and condition.

Sometimes you have to get right in there.

There’s a lot more to a concrete pour than getting the concrete on the ground.

The finish comes down to the hands-on work — working the edges, watching the surface and getting into whatever position the job requires.

And on this one, that position just happened to be in the pool. 😂

A little behind-the-scenes look at the Ambrogi crew working on this brushed concrete pool deck.

Some jobs require a little extra equipment.

This one apparently required a swimsuit. 😂

When you're pouring a new brushed concrete deck around an existing pool, sometimes the best place to finish the job is in the pool.

From the prep and forming to the pour and hand finishing, the Ambrogi crew is getting this one done — one section at a time.

And yes… he really is standing in the pool. 💦

Good weather. Good work. And apparently, good vibes on the jobsite.

We’ll call that a solid day.

Looks like this new surface has officially passed inspection. 🐾

Clean, comfortable, and apparently a pretty great place to stretch out and supervise the neighborhood.

We’ll take that as a five-paw review. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Remember this patio?

We recently shared the finished transformation, but now that the furniture is in and the landscaping is coming together, we couldn't resist sharing another look.

This is the part we love to see—when a finished concrete project becomes a space that's actually ready to be enjoyed. The custom pattern creates the look of individual pavers while providing the solid foundation of a concrete patio, and the homeowners' finishing touches bring the whole backyard together.

Now all that's missing are a few friends, something on the grill and a beautiful summer evening. ☀️

Thinking about adding an outdoor living space of your own? Let's build something you'll enjoy for years to come.

Every solid home starts with a strong foundation.
This week our crew completed the footers and piers for a new ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) home in Frederick County. These critical structural elements provide the strength and stability everything else will be built upon.
The next step? Pouring the concrete floor later this week as this beautiful home continues to come together.
Projects like this are a true team effort, and we're proud to work alongside great partners who help make it happen.

Thank you to everyone involved. We're looking forward to sharing the next phase!

Last week, we showed you the prep work. Today, we're excited to share the finished result.

Every great patio starts with a solid foundation, but it's the craftsmanship that brings the vision to life.

This custom stamped concrete patio combines the timeless look of natural stone with the durability and low maintenance of concrete. From careful site preparation to the final finishing touches, every step was completed with long-term performance in mind.

Whether you're creating a space for relaxing, entertaining, or making family memories, we're here to build it right the first time.

Not every pool deck has to be one color.

This homeowner chose a custom two-tone Rubaroc® finish that complements the home's gray siding, crisp white trim, and sparkling blue pool. The darker border defines the space while the lighter field keeps the area bright, open, and inviting.

The result is more than a resurfaced pool deck—it's a backyard that feels thoughtfully designed.

Whether you prefer subtle neutrals, bold contrast, or something uniquely your own, Rubaroc® offers a variety of color combinations to help create the look you're after.
