Growing in nicely and even showing some early spring color. This large parcel began as a weed-covered field inhabited by numerous families of gophers. Water channeled through this area from seasonal rains at multiple points making it challenging to build something permanent. What to do? Call a landscape designer of course! The homeowners are very happy with the results!

What a wonderful surprise it is to visit one of my former clients and to learn that their garden has become a certified monarch waystation! When my clients request more color in their garden, I will usually attempt to include various hearty perennials, pollinator attracting ornamentals, but also iimportant local native plants whenever I can.

Take a tour of this new garden!
A recently completed backyard renovation consisting of open spaces, for a new little four legged friend, fresh plantings, decorative tile accents and gathering spaces. A gentle fountain to attract and watch visiting pollinators is a great focal point of the garden. The former garden was extremely overgrown and had become completely unmanageable.

Larger backyards don't have to be expensive to landscape!
Keeping dust, dirt, mud and weeds down is a lot of work (especially with children and pets!) but it doesn't have to be too expensive to fix.
With a VISION of how the yard can be developed you can begin to see it for the potential it truly has.
Utilizing smaller plantings and distinct rooms, and incorporating recycled materials like decomposed granite (DG) and shredded wood mulch will stretch your dollars farther, be less maintenance and add VALUE to your home as the new garden grows in over time.

HELP!!!! I heard the call.
Wind, winter mud, summer dust, little privacy, two big unmanageable slopes, my dogs fighting with neighbor's dogs through the fence, I can't look at it or enjoy the pool on my day's off, it's so much work to maintain, broken pipes, snakes! and weeds-weeds-weeds!

These are just a few of the common complaints I help homeowners resolve with a well planned landscape.

Functional, clean and green!
The creation of a better look for curb-appeal from what the builder installed a few years prior was very important for this Wi******er family. The more formal landscaping, with granite boulders that "pop" against the darker mulched beds, and a lawn space for the kids to run around in really help to achieve this. The solitary welcoming pilaster matches the motif of the home perfectly and the new driveway addition with double gate access for a trailer utilizes the space very well, and not to mention the added parking space for a growing family.
