Did you know we do roof repairs?

Although most of our work involves replacing the entire roof we also do roof repairs. This customer was concerned about the air flow in their attic. Proper ventilation includes an intake and exhaust. We replaced the current ridge vent with GAF SnowCountry ridge vent which provides a much better exhaust. In addition we pulled back the insulation from the soffit vents to allow for more intake air.

When it comes to your roof it is very important you have a clear understanding of the materials being used. We are working on a very large home in Bedford today but there are some important differences in how it was installed when it was built and how we are installing it today.

1. The drip edge used on the eaves and rakes was low quality. We will replace it with a high quality aluminum drip edge.

2. They only installed 3 feet of ice and water on the eaves. We always install a minimum of 6 feet of ice and water on the eaves.

3. The shingles were nailed directly to the sheathing. We will install a high quality synthetic paper in all areas not covered by ice and water.
