2004 Mazda 3, customer had lost the ignition key. Unfortunately the ignition had not longer matched the door. Previous attempts by others were unsuccessful. Ignition cylinder could not be picked and decoded; would begin to turn but would stop. Also, it appeared that a tumbler was stuck, which would result in the cylinder not turning. We were able to obtain a replacement ignition cylinder, successfully remove the old cylinder with damage to other components, replace the cylinder and program the new keys.

Little work over the weekend and to start the week. Customer called with a door handle falling off a door, followed by a commercial lever with a key stuck in the cylinder. Monday opens with a key broken off in a mail box lock. Removed the broken key and cut two new keys for the customer. Final stop of the day was a masterkey on a commercial lock for a storeroom door.

Few jobs from last week. Rekey an apartment. Repaired a panic device that another ‘locksmith’ had ‘adjusted’. Was only 1/2 inch out of adjustment but the self-stick foam weatherstripping wrapped about the operating lifter was a nice touch to try and get it to work. Then program a new key for a 2013 Escape. Customer was missing keys for locking handles on 400 amp panel. Key sent by electrical supplier did not fit the locks. We were able to locate blanks and create workings keys for the handles, allowing the electrical contractor to keep the job moving.
