The Northeastern Colorado Association of Local Governments came to us with the need to combine their departments into a single facility, while utilizing one of their existing buildings for better collaboration and communication.

"This was my first time through a project like this, and Infusion made it a lot easier than I expected. They were open and communicative at every step, and I'll definitely refer them." Kenneth D. Mooney Jr. | Executive Director

The design includes new offices, meeting and training spaces, expanded vehicle support areas, and interior finishes to coordinate with their existing furniture. By blending the new with the familiar, the expanded facility will provide a unified environment that strengthens teamwork, improves functionality, and supports NECALG's mission for years to come.

Reflecting back on the Town of Windsor Public Works campus.

Public Works facilities may not always be front and center, but they play a critical role in supporting the crews who keep a community running every day. Designed to support fleet maintenance, equipment storage, and daily operations, this campus was built with one goal in mind: giving Public Works teams the tools and space they need to do their jobs effectively.

It's rewarding to look back and see this facility continuing to support the people working behind the scenes to keep Windsor running strong.

As the Town of Mead Colorado has grown, so have the needs of its residents and first responders.

After nearly a decade of serving a rapidly growing community from a triple-wide trailer, the Mead Police Department will soon have a new home designed to better serve their community and support residents for years to come.

The new facility will provide a welcoming public lobby, private areas for victims and families, enhanced emergency response capabilities, and dedicated spaces for collaboration with fire, EMS, schools, and county partners.

Designed with future growth in mind, the building will strengthen community safety, support officer wellness, and ensure Mead is prepared for the next chapter of its growth. We are honored to be partnered with the Town for this project! Shown are progress conceptual renderings. Construction to start this fall, 2026.

Congratulations Melissa!

Throughout her career, Melissa has helped communities plan and deliver facilities that strengthen public safety and support those who serve on the front lines. In recognition of her leadership, expertise, and growing impact in this sector, we're excited to announce her promotion to Senior Project Manager.

As the leader of our Municipal projects, she manages some of the most important community assets we design. These facilities support first responders, facilitate emergency response, and create meaningful connections between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

Melissa is someone you want in the room. She asks the question everyone else is avoiding. She keeps track of what a client mentioned six months ago and brings it back up when it matters. What truly sets her apart is her genuine care for people, her collaborative spirit, and her ability to bring out the best in every project and every team.

What happens when a town outgrows its facilities but doesn't want to lose its history?

Looking back at Kersey's case, it meant turning a vacant 1920s Co-op building in the heart of their downtown, into a new civic hub for Town Hall, the Police Department, council chambers, and its growing community.

Through thoughtful restoration, adaptive reuse, and sustainable design, a once-forgotten downtown landmark became a catalyst for revitalization and a new center for community connection.

Maximizing what was found on-site and inside the original brick shell drove most of the design decisions. You can still see the original Co-op sign on the exterior, timber salvaged from the demolished roof used for vaulted ceilings and trellises, rusty steel reworked into a pergola at the entrance, and reclaimed tongue-and-groove beetle-kill throughout the facility.

Sometimes the most meaningful projects aren't about creating something new, but helping a community repurpose what is already there.

Every community relies on having a strong foundation with spaces that keep it connected and safe.

From police facilities and dispatch centers to town halls, public works operations, and administrative buildings, these are the places where critical decisions are made, services are delivered, and residents find support every day.

We believe great municipal facilities should do more than meet today's needs. They should strengthen community connections, support the people who serve, and provide the flexibility to grow alongside the communities they call home.

We are grateful to create spaces that support the people behind the services we rely on every day. Get ready for more spotlights on these projects!

Long before a fire truck leaves the station, the work has already begun. Training, preparation, teamwork, and dedication happen every day behind the scenes to keep a community safe.

That's why we're excited to be designing the new Frederick Fire Station 6. A station that will serve as both a workplace for first responders and a cornerstone of the Barefoot Village community.

Take a small sneak peek into what this critical public safety building will look like after construction. Featuring a one-story station with a mezzanine, training props, fitness center, and living quarters. A building designed to support those who are always ready to answer the call. Because great communities deserve great public safety facilities, and great firefighters deserve a place built to support their mission.

More than thirty years of architecture. Over one hundred fire station projects across Colorado’s Front Range.

Meet Brad Bonnet, Infusion’s new Senior Fire Station Design Specialist.

Brad grew up in Broomfield and knew in high school he wanted to be an architect. He has spent his career on that path, with the last twenty years focused almost entirely on fire station design. At Infusion he will advise project teams through every phase of a fire station project and mentor our architects on the intricacies of the building type.

We asked him what he loves about fire station design. His answer:

“Fire stations are homes for the people who serve our communities. The firefighters we work with are demanding but incredibly appreciative, and being part of that family-oriented community, helping create the places where they live and work, is hugely important to me.”

Outside the office, Brad is a family man. He fishes, hunts, camps, and hikes, and the newest joy in his life is his granddaughter.

Welcome to the team, Brad. We’re so glad you’re here.

A fire station built above abandoned coal mines.

With tunnels running 100 to 500 feet below the site, the design team faced the rare challenge of potential ground subsidence. Their solution: three independent building structures connected by carefully integrated expansion joints, allowing each section to move independently if needed.

What could have been a limitation became the defining feature of a resilient, high-performance station designed for firefighters and the community they serve.

The experience gained from this project is already helping shape the new Station 6. We're proud to build on the strong foundation laid by the Allred team and grateful for the opportunity to further our relationship with the Frederick-Firestone community.

Stay tuned for more details on Fire Station 6!

We're proud to welcome Brittany to Infusion as our new Fire Station Design Project Manager.

Brittany grew up in Westminster and has spent her twenty-year career designing more than 100 Fire district projects across Colorado. What keeps her in this work is the lasting impact these buildings have on the communities they serve. Firefighters live and work in these stations and Brittany strives to keep their health and safety in mind.

Outside the office, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family. Most weekends you'll find her cheering on her daughters at their sporting events, at a Broncos or Avs game, or camping at the lake enjoying a Colorado sunset.

Welcome to the team, Brittany. We're so glad you're here!
