Just a quick check in on a local backyard install we did last fall right here in santa rosa. Things are looking great. It all starts with the soil! We did a proper sheet mulch and fertilization prior to planting and a good thick layer of bark mulch. This was a disused, w**d infested eyesore and is now the centerpiece of the yard. Thanks for the design.

I love farmers! Because why? Baby sheep! These little hungry little beauties were born just last week. Always so rewarding to help out a local farmer, in this case installing an irrigation system out in the wonderous at Shanti Permaculture Farm. We are helping to maximize water storage and usage on the farm and gearing up for an upcoming workshop with the this fall. We are working with an intricate system of springs, a pond, holding tanks and drip irrigation and making sure all the parts function together to grow delicious organic food and healthy animals. .

Nothing inspires me and rejuvenates my soul like a visit to the in . This is where my professional landscape career began at the Ecological Landscape Immersion Program . Where I learned from greats such as Erik Ohlsen and Toby Hemenway and a host of other amazing teachers and friends. Today under discussion was the reactivation of the Sonoma County Permaculture Guild and the opening of The Toby Hemenway Memorial Library. I will be your humble librarian! The last picture is of the Toby Tree we planted an Antonovka Apple. Our first meeting is September 5th at 6pm. @ The Permaculture Skills Center

I love . Nothing is so satisfying to me as picking up a bunch of cool plants for an installation. Succulents are extremely drought tolerant, beautiful and there are thousands of varieties to choose from including many types. These beauties are for a client's sidewalk strip, an majorly underutilized resource. Let us introduce you to the joys of succulents today, you will be hooked!

This was a lawn just 1 year ago! We really love lawn conversions here at Perennial Abundance Permaculture. We were asked to create a front yard garden by our client in to provide organic vegetables, culinary and medical herbs, cut flowers and fruit. We put in a lot of prep work starting with the grass and bringing in lots of and and spraying compost tea. Add in a properly designed and constructed system and a seasonal maintenance schedule and the rest is easy. Let us know if you want your and to start living in now!

Found this epic hidden waterfall today on my saturday hike with the dogs in county. A truly glorious day for and observing nature. I swam in the crisp clear waters of with my dogs, saw blooming and thought to myself yup this is why I love . Keep your waters clean my friends!
