There’s a pile of work left to do on this project, but the day ended with getting a new water service installed today. The big win was getting the pipe sleeve installed and operational under the patio, which prevented tearing out and pouring new concrete. A giant tree stump hindered progress slightly, however I was able to make it work.

Yesterday I assisted the Dexter city guy with installing a new water service from the main to the meter which included installing a new meter pit.

Next week I’ll tackle the sewer!!

Happy Friday!

It’s amazing what 2 days with the right equipment will do. Bradford Pear and Black Locust trees had taken over part of this hay meadow. There were also several areas of complete Sumac coverage. These trees were mechanically removed and piled. The entire area was then mowed with my brush cutter. Now we wait for regrowth of the woody plants and Johnson grass to treat with herbicide.

I can vaguely remember this hay meadow before these invasive trees took hold. I’m grateful for the opportunity to complete this project for this customer. What do yall think of this transformation?

Today’s lineup consists of 2 separate scopes of work for 2 different customers. I love this trailer for the simple fact that it’s a single mobilization/demobilization today as opposed to having to switch attachments mid day! Enjoy this beautiful weather!

Knocked out another culvert project yesterday in Salem Township. The old culvert was completely plugged and wasn’t even visible with excavating to find it. Aside from replacing the culvert, I reshaped both ditches for proper flow and ripped out a few trees.

A lil before and after action of a culvert end rehab I did for Salem Township last week. The old culvert was deteriorated and water drained directly over the top of the culvert which washed out the road. I put a new extension in place and graded the area to keep the areas adjacent to the new culvert from washing out. A little ditch liner dressed it up and will help stabilize the areas around the new culvert.

Just like 🫛 and 🥕! A little teamwork with the guys at Simmons concrete made this tear-out & re-pour go smooth as butter. I was able to help load & haul the concrete and brought in some base material for them!

Throwback to Summer of 2024 when we got rolling on demo at Harvest Christian Church. This was early on and so many volunteers came together to accomplish many aspects of the remodel project. Were grateful for the opportunity to make our contribution.

Happy Saturday followers! Here’s some photos of during and after trenching for a propane line. Whenever I’m doing excavation in a graveled area, I always take the time to remove the gravel so once backfill is performed the gravel can be spread back over the work area. I know gravel isn’t cheap, protecting my customers’ investment in very high on the priority list. I’m thrilled that timing worked out for my friend and repeat customer to get this line installed for auxiliary heat and a back-up generator.

Knocked out this trailer house and addition demo yesterday. These structures had surpassed their useful life. Started in on at a little after 8 and was done by 4. I’ve got a time lapse that I’ll post once I have time to get it edited.
