Tall Fescue Lawn Height?

We set our deck height at four inches. Mowing at four inches allows the grass to shade its roots, making it more resistant to heat and drought stress. It also makes creating those stripes everyone loves a lot easier.

Mowing Technique Tips:

Cut a border around the outside of the lawn.

Then cut a stripe down the middle. Focus on a distant point in front of you to stay straight.

Line the edge of your mowing deck up with the edge of the previous stripe for subsequent passes.
