🌪️ NORTH CAROLINA HURRICANE SEASON 🌪️

Also known as:
“The Great Roofing Company Population Explosion of 2026.” 😂

One storm cloud appears and suddenly:
• your phone starts ringing off the hook
• there’s 111 roofing business cards on your doorstep before breakfast
• random men in neon shirts are jogging through neighborhoods with clipboards
• and every “family owned local roofing company” somehow formed 37 minutes ago. 🤭

Then comes the dramatic inspection:

“Ma’am… I hate to tell you this… but your roof has extensive storm damage.”

Sir.
A patio chair blew over.
Please relax. 😂

Meanwhile the REAL local contractors are sitting in traffic on Silas Creek like:
👁️👄👁️ “Here we go again.”

Because while everybody else is chasing storms…
we’re over here chasing quality installs, inspections, the neighbors dog, customer service, and our kids around Target after work. 👏😂

That’s the difference.

Some roofers are only here while the insurance money is flowing.

We’re here:
✔️ when it’s slow
✔️ when it’s hot
✔️ when it rains for 9 straight days
✔️ when warranties need handled
✔️ and when your neighbor’s cousin’s brother “did it cheaper” and now water is pouring through the dining room light fixture. 🫣

No gimmicks.
No disappearing acts.
No panic-selling.

Just real people.
Real accountability.
And real roots in the community we actually live in. 🧡

So before signing with the first guy who magically appeared 14 seconds after the wind picked up…

Ask yourself:
“Will this company still be around when hurricane season is over?” 👀

School’s officially out for summer. ☀️

Which means the neighborhood soundtrack has officially changed to:

🚲 bikes in the driveway
💦 sprinklers running
🍔 cookouts on the weekends
🌅 late sunsets
✨ lightning bugs
🩴 dirty feet running through the house…and hearing “I’m hungry” every 14 minutes. 😂

Honestly though, these are the moments kids remember forever.

Not the expensive stuff. Not the perfect schedules.Just summer evenings outside until the streetlights come on.

Wishing everybody a safe, fun, memory-filled summer. 🧡

Roofing tip of the week from your local weather survivors ☔️😂

If your roof starts leaking during heavy rain… please do NOT wait until the ceiling looks like a water feature at the Biltmore Estate before calling someone.

We cannot tell you how many times homeowners say:
‘It’s just a tiny spot…’

…and then we arrive to:

🪣 7 buckets
🪣 a stained ceiling
🪣 wet insulation
🪣 and one emotionally overwhelmed husband standing in the attic with a flashlight.

Small leaks rarely stay small during weeks like this.

The good news?
Catching problems EARLY is usually way cheaper than waiting until water starts redecorating your living room.

Things to watch for:
✔ ceiling stains
✔ bubbling paint
✔ musty smells
✔ dripping around chimneys or vents
✔ gutters overflowing like Niagara Falls

This rain has everybody stressed… including roofs. 😅

Back to reality… oops, I mean the work week. 😂☔️

Nothing says ‘Good Morning’ quite like checking the forecast and seeing rain for the 47th day in a row.

At this point, we’re no longer a roofing company. We’re a part-time meteorology team with trauma. 🌧️

Every morning now starts with:
‘Can we roof today?’
‘Maybe.’
‘What about tomorrow?’
‘Also maybe.’

The crews are fueled by caffeine, sarcasm, and pure delusion at this point. 🤝😂

But hey… we’re still out here answering calls, chasing leaks, moving schedules around like air traffic control, and doing our best to keep everyone dry while North Carolina continues its audition for life underwater.

Happy Tuesday everybody. If you see a roofer staring aggressively at the sky this week… just let them have their moment.

Small businesses like ours exist because brave men and women fought for the freedom to build a life here in this country.

Today we remember the heroes who never made it home. 🇺🇸

We hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day spent with family, good food, and gratitude for the freedoms we sometimes forget are not free.

I don’t know who needs to hear this… but it’s May. MAY.

Why am I outside in a hoodie looking like I’m waiting for a school delay announcement in November? 😂

At this point I’ve accepted that we live in Seattle now. It’s been raining for 14 business days, my hair has given up, and I’m one drizzle away from putting soup in the crockpot.

Mother Nature really said:“Surprise seasonal depression round 2.” ☔️

At this point we’re just waiting for the sun and scheduling projects around Noah’s Ark.

Well… at this point we may need to replace our roofing trucks with boats. 🌧️😂

Looks like we’re in for about 7 straight days of rain which means project delays, muddy yards, and unfortunately a whole lot of “this leak just started yesterday” calls.

We promise we’re doing everything possible to keep projects moving safely while also keeping our crews safe. Roofing in pouring rain just isn’t worth someone getting hurt.

If your roof has been questionable, this weather will absolutely expose it. Keep an eye on ceilings, chimneys, skylights and anywhere you’ve noticed staining before.

And please say a prayer for every roofer currently staring at weather apps every 12 minutes hoping the forecast changes. 😂☔️

One thing we hope never disappears from roofing is accountability.

A lot of homeowners don’t realize that many roofing and home service companies across the country are being bought by large investment firms and private equity groups. In many cases, the original owner sells the company, but the business continues operating under the same name and branding the community already recognizes.

That doesn’t automatically make them bad companies. But it does change things homeowners should pay attention to — like who actually owns the company, who makes decisions, whether customer service stays local, and whether growth and sales numbers start outweighing relationships and craftsmanship.

When you hire a truly local company, you usually know who answers the phone, who’s showing up to your home, and who’s standing behind the work years later.

The roofing industry is changing fast right now, and homeowners deserve to understand that before signing a contract.
