Proactive maintenance starts with understanding what’s beneath the surface.
During a recent roof evaluation, our team performed a core cut to assess the condition of an existing roofing system. When the insulation sample was removed and squeezed, water poured out. This should never happen.
Roof insulation is designed to stay dry. When it becomes saturated, it loses its effectiveness, can contribute to ongoing deterioration, and often signals that moisture has been trapped within the roofing system for some time.
Findings like these help identify hidden moisture intrusion that may not be visible during a routine walk-through. Left unaddressed, trapped moisture can impact roof performance, reduce energy efficiency, and lead to more costly repairs down the road.
Our Service Department is focused on helping facility managers and property owners uncover issues early, make informed decisions, and protect their roofing investment through proactive inspections, maintenance, and expert evaluations.
