When a PSM signs and seals a survey, map, plat, legal description, or related document, the surveyor accepts professional responsibility for its accuracy, compliance, and proper preparation. PSMs are licensed and regulated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services through the Florida Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers. Meet Wilmaliz Borrero Muriel, Project Manager in our Land Surveying Department—one of our core surveying and mapping business units. Over the past 10 years at Allen & Company, Wilmaliz has built a career spanning both the field and the office, giving her a valuable perspective on what it takes to move a surveying project from concept to completion.

Her experience includes private- and public-sector work, with particular expertise in condominium surveys. She has also completed the Principles and Practice of Land Surveying examination and continues to expand her knowledge, experience, and wisdom in project management. However, her coworkers also know when Wilmaliz is hard at work... That is, when she starts singing out loud! Wilmaliz says enthusiastically: “When I’m really focused, I’m always singing. Everyone notices!”

Wilmaliz also admits to being something of a workaholic, which probably explains how much she's accomplished during her decade with Allen & Company.
