One of the most common issues we see in our industry is improper drainage. In a highly competitive market, it’s not uncommon to see corners cut in an effort to offer the lowest price possible. Unfortunately, when proper planning and water management are overlooked, patios can end up holding water, creating puddles, or directing water back toward the home.
In this project, the backyard sloped toward the patio area, so we installed a Deco Drain system to properly capture and redirect water away from the space. A beautiful patio is important, but a patio that drains correctly is just as critical.
