We're about to do some amazing pruning in Auburndale. This poor customer was shafted by multiple companies over the past year. But we plan to get things on track with the correct work, punctuality and accountability.

We're curious: who remembers this challenging job from Haines City? This backyard monster Live Oak by the lake had to be climbed & was beyond the reach of a crane. The pathway out was a soft, steep hill - one wrong move and you were destroying the customer's house, the neighbor's house or putting the vehicle into the lake. Thankfully, all of our dump trucks are 4x4, for a reason!

We'll see if we can dig up the rest of the footage to share. Of course, several other companies had bid this but the customer was sure glad they chose CJLT. They admitted that the job was so much more involving than they ever realized 😏.

Here was a reduction prune we did a few months ago on an aging Pecan tree deep on Davenport. Many would argue for its removal but there is still a lot of life left in the tree. Not to mention, the removal cost exceeded the customer's budget.

Remember, this is not "indiscriminate topping." Reduction pruning is done with purpose & direction. You want to prune back to a suitable lateral that can redirect the energy that the tree is providing.

The customer loves their shade in these hot summer months along with the fact that the tree is much better suited for high winds and storm events.

Privileged to serve some fine people in Heron Cay today! We pruned & cleaned (3) Bismarck Palms, which happen to be our very favorite palm variety 😍. There are some specific methods we suggest when working with these due to their extreme sensitivity.

Another brilliant tree lesson from the goat!

If your tree looks like this, you don't need someone to spray it. This is not a disease or an insect. The damage has been done.

This is drought stress, and it is not likely from a drought. How can that be? Well, when roots are cut or soil is heavily compacted, the tree can't move enough water. Water is hardest to get to the highest and farthest leaves, so they thirst to death. An ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure, perhaps even more. There is no magic potion to bring the tree back from this point.

Please, please, please hire a company that understands proper pruning. I see so much media posted of work that's detrimental to the trees 😟. People are literally paying companies thousands upon thousands of dollars to make their trees more hazardous.

Yes, we're not able to prune every tree.
No, you don't have to settle for the wrong work.
Yes, we know a few folks who prune properly.
No, like us, they're not available tomorrow.

But having the RIGHT work done is worth the wait.
