It’s February which means it’s time for The Super Bowl of beekeeping - also known as almond pollination. Get a glimpse into one of the many long nights required to get our bees ready and shipped over to California.

Almond Pollination is the world's largest managed pollination event, utilizing over 80% of the total U.S. honey bee colonies (roughly 2.7 to 2.8 million hives). Because California grows over 80% of the world’s almonds, hives are trucked in to cover 1.3+ million acres of orchards. It’s a four-to-six-week event that generates one third to half of the annual income for many commercial beekeepers.
