Last night was one of those evenings that reminds me why we do what we do.
What started as the idea of hosting a simple cookout turned into a night filled with great food, great conversations, plenty of laughs, and a room full of incredible people. Seeing everyone come together and enjoy themselves made all of the planning worthwhile.
None of it would have been possible without the incredible people who stepped up to help.

❤️ Thank you to my mom, Patricia DeBonise Briggs and my sisters, Michaelia Briggs and Kelleyanne Briggs for volunteering your time and helping serve throughout the evening.
❤️ Thank you to Eric Desrosiers Jr. and Debra Cook with Cook's Roofing for lending a hand and always being willing to support our community.
❤️ Thank you to State Representative Mike Soter and his team for jumping in, helping make the night a success with his support, and acknowledging our efforts within the community.
❤️ A special thank you to the Briggs Property Maintenance team. While only a few of our crew members were able to attend because many were finishing up jobs and working late, every one of them played a part in making this event possible. Their hard work throughout the day allowed us to give back to the community that evening. I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and grateful to work alongside people who share the same passion for serving others.
❤️ Thank you so Sue Grady and Jennifer Altomonte for Bellingham Select Board with the Bellingham Business Association for serving everyone ice cream at the end of the cookout and assisting with the entire event. It truly was the best idea to combine the two ideas for a big party!
❤️ And a huge thank you to the Bellingham, MA Senior Center for welcoming us, partnering with us, and everything you do for the older adults in our community every single day.
One part of the evening that caught me completely off guard was being presented with a Citation from the Massachusetts House of Representatives recognizing my contributions to both the community and the local business community.
It was an incredible honor, but I truly don’t see it as an award for me alone. It reflects the support of so many people who have believed in Briggs Property Maintenance over the years. Our clients, our employees, our families, our friends, and this amazing community that continues to give us opportunities to make a difference.
I’ve always believed that success isn’t measured solely by the work you complete, but by the positive impact you leave on the people around you. If Briggs Property Maintenance can continue to improve properties while also improving our community, then we’re doing exactly what we set out to do.
To everyone who came out last night, thank you for spending your evening with us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
