BOOTS ON THE GROUND. BAITS REFRESHED. ANOTHER DAY BUILDING SOMETHING BIGGER. 🌲🐻

Another solid day in the woods for PRC Outdoor Services—refreshing bear baits, scouting new country, checking sign and putting in the work that happens long before hunting season.

And the woods were looking GOOD.

🐻 Plenty of bear sign
🦌 Good deer sign — and we got to see deer
🫎 Plenty of elk sign — and got eyes on elk too
🦃 Turkey sign
🐦 Grouse sign

We even came across old hunting blinds, long forgotten and rotting back into the woods. Somebody hunted out of those blinds years ago, made their own memories there, and now the woods are slowly taking them back.

But the best part of today's trip wasn't the sign, the wildlife or the scouting.

It was my helper—my daughter.

To her, today was simple.

We're just having fun in the woods with Dad. Checking baits, exploring, looking for tracks, seeing animals and getting dirty.

What she doesn't know is that while I'm building PRC Outdoor Services, she's right beside me helping build its foundation.

And maybe someday, it'll all be hers.

Every trail walked.
Every bait checked.
Every piece of country learned.
Every memory made.

Someday she may look back and realize these weren't just days in the woods with Dad.

They were the beginning of something we built together.

But she doesn't need to know that yet.

For now, I'll let her think we're just having fun in the woods. ❤️🌲

TODAY’S SCOUTING REPORT: GOOD COUNTRY. 🌲🦌🐻🫎
Today was one of those scouting days that reminds you why you put the miles on your boots.
I personally laid eyes on deer and elk, and found plenty of sign to back it up — a pond, good deer trails, a fresh shed antler, good bear sign, elk sign, turkey feathers, ducks and even some bear p**p. 😂
And then there’s an old pickup truck sitting back in the woods that looks like it’s been forgotten for decades. 👀
Every trail, feather, antler and pile of bear p**p tells a story. Put enough pieces together and you start getting a pretty good picture of what’s using the country.
Scouting isn’t just driving around looking for animals. It’s putting boots on the ground, finding the sign, learning the property and doing the work BEFORE the hunt.
Another day in the woods. Another piece of the puzzle.
