Just finished up this 400 sq ft replacement field. This customer contacted me with complaints of his existing field backing up and the tank overflowing into yard. We went and dug up a portion of old field. what we found was the old field was permitted to be a step trench system utilizing a distribution box to feed the separate trenches at different levels in hill side due to slope on sight, what we found was a standard trench system which part was under driveway the rest had excessive cover and if that wasn't bad enough it was full of roots from a nearby maple tree. We met with local health dept. And found a suitable spot where a standard bed could be used. Hopefully are new system install will last longer than the 25 years this customer got out of his old system.
