Happy Thanksgiving! As we push through the busy fall season, I hope you all get a chance today to slow down and enjoy time with your families. We are truly thankful for everyone who works here — the people we call family — as well as the clients we serve and the community we’re proud to be part of.

Here’s a glimpse of our Thanksgiving week. Thank you to Emma and C**t for helping me set out turkeys for everyone in the field, working hard to wrap up a couple of local jobs before the holiday. And after a long week, we were all able to head home and relax with our families.

Had to include a shot of the beautiful building pad completed yesterday in Grayslake. After the weekend rains left it underwater, lime drying followed by cement stabilization got it ready to stand strong through winter.

Beyond thankful, grateful, and blessed. 🙏🦃

Wishing a big Happy Birthday to our “Bossman,” Chris Hogan — President of Bedrock! 🎈🥳

We’re grateful for your leadership, your dedication, and the support you give our team day in and day out. Your hard work sets the standard for all of us, and we appreciate everything you do to keep Bedrock moving forward.

If you see him out in the field this week, be sure to wish him a Happy Birthday!! 😊

A message from Marissa on World Kindness Day

The most important thing to me — and to my crew — is that everyone looks forward to coming to work with their teammates and doing the work we do for great people, companies, and towns. Life is hard enough. I never want anyone showing up to a job they dread.

Please remember: you never know what someone is dealing with at home, so don’t make their workday harder. Be kind. Be a team player.

I’m reminded every day that construction isn’t just about soil, materials, roads, building pads, and schedules (or whatever trade you’re in) — it’s about people.
The way we treat each other on the jobsite, in the office, and in our communities is what truly builds strong foundations and strong relationships.

Today, on World Kindness Day, I want to recognize our crews, partners, and clients who show small acts of kindness that make a big impact — offering a hand, teaching a skill, checking in on a coworker, or simply showing respect in high-pressure moments.

In our industry, kindness looks like teamwork, patience, and safety. It looks like choosing to lead with integrity, even when the day gets tough.

Thank you to everyone on our team who brings not just skill, but heart, to the work we do.

Let’s continue building a culture where kindness is as essential as any tool on the jobsite. 🦺💛

And...dont forget to smile. 😉

— Marissa A. Hogan

Today (and always) we honor all who have served and continue to serve our country. Your courage, discipline, and sacrifice make it possible for the rest of us to live and work in freedom.

Our gratitude isn't limited to one day — we owe our veterans respect and appreciation every single day.

Today we remember one of the darkest days in our nation’s history. September 11th will forever mark a time of loss and heartbreak, but also a time when we saw extraordinary courage and unshakable unity.

In the hours and days that followed, differences faded. Neighbors helped neighbors. Communities came together. The bravery of first responders and everyday people showed us the very best of humanity.

That spirit of unity is something we still need today. As we face challenges—whether in our workplaces, communities, or as a nation—we can carry forward that lesson: we are stronger together.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
An especially good reminder now.

Happy Labor Day!
Today we celebrate the hard work of every builder, maker, teacher, nurse, driver, parent, and dreamer — the working hands that keep our world turning. 💪

This summer, our youngest team member - C**t, 4 years old, proudly joined us on the jobsite, learning the value of hard work while handing out high-fives and big smiles. Now that he’s back in school, we’re reminded that every generation learns by watching us build, create, and show up every day.

Here’s to the working class heroes — in hard hats, scrubs, steel-toes, uniforms, and office chairs — who pour their hearts into everything they do. You make this world stronger, safer, and brighter.

Enjoy your well-earned day of rest! 🛠️👷‍♂️📚❤️

Most of you have met the first and second generation… but who’s met the third? 👷‍♂️❤️

At just 4 years old, this little guy (C**t) has been hard at work this summer—whether it’s running the lowboy with his best buddy Big Jim (Jim Mailfald, Local 150 Operator and lowboy legend) or helping Uncle Dave on the tiller.

Three generations deep, and the passion still runs just as strong. There’s nothing that makes Marissa and Grandpa more proud or grateful than seeing the legacy continue with love, grit, and a little diesel in the veins.

With Chris and Marissa—President and Vice President—fully involved in the day-to-day, both in the field and in the office, we’re building more than jobs. We’re building something lasting.

Teach them young. Raise them right. Keep the roots deep. 💪👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from all of us at Bedrock Stabilization! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the birth of our nation—when, in 1776, the Declaration of Independence was signed, marking America’s fight for freedom and a future built on courage, unity, and hope.

It’s a day to gather with family, fire up the grill, and reflect on how lucky we are to live in this beautiful land of opportunity.

From jobsite to backyard, we’re proud to celebrate the red, white, and blue with all of you.
Wishing you a safe and joyful Independence Day!

🇺🇸 Honoring Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness remind us that the freedoms we enjoy every day come at a profound cost.

As we spend time with loved ones or reflect quietly, let’s carry forward their legacy — not just today, but every day — by living with purpose, gratitude, and respect for those who serve and protect.

To all the families who have lost someone in uniform: we remember, we honor, and we thank you.
