Learn to identify local breeding birds by sight and sound. Meet at Fairplay Library, 400 Front St.

Joe LaFleur, a wildlife biologist and author from Woodland Park, will present one free bird walk and two programs in June in Chaffee County.

Walk for about one mile along Arkansas River. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound and about the trees and plants where birds live.

Better Birdwatching will be at the event selling and signing Mountain Birds Books.

Join the DRC on our outdoor plaza for a day full of family fun!
There will be good food, Chalk Drawing, Fire Truck, Ambulance and Police Vehicles, Children’s Activities, Crafts, Science Activity Tables and much more!
Outdoor plaza is free, and the museum will still require admission to enter.
