Fall yard cleanup in Colorado before the first major snow requires clearing turf debris while strategically insulating perennial beds against harsh freeze-thaw cycles.
Essential Fall Cleanup Tasks.
Rake the Lawn: Remove fallen leaves from grass promptly so you do not block sunlight or invite snow mold. You can slide excess leaves into nearby garden beds to act as natural mulch.
Clear Diseased Debris: Cut back and discard spent vegetable plants (like squash and tomatoes) and diseased rose leaves into the trash rather than a cold compost bin.
Water Deeply: Give trees, shrubs, and evergreens a deep soaking before the ground freezes solid to prevent winter desiccation from dry winds.
Apply Mulch: Wait until the ground freezes, then place a 3-to-4-inch layer of mulch around your perennials and shrubs to regulate soil temperature.Winterize Irrigation:
Blow out and drain your sprinkler lines completely to prevent frozen, cracked pipes.

Project Showcase:
Transforming the Backyard with Flagstone! We are just about to wrap up a brand-new outdoor transformation!
This project combines smart drainage solutions with the timeless, natural beauty of flagstone. What We Did:
Smart Drainage:
We installed an effective system to safely divert water away from the foundation and through the yard, protecting the landscape from pooling and erosion.
Main Walkway:
A beautiful new natural flagstone walkway leads smoothly from the house right to a relaxing patio area.
Shed Access:
We extended the flagstone path seamlessly from the patio out to the storage shed, providing clean and easy access across the entire yard.
The result is a dry, highly functional yard that looks amazing and connects every part of the outdoor space.

🇺🇸 GROUND CONTROL INDUSTRIES IS HIRING! 🇺🇸

We’re incredibly proud—but also a little sad—to share that a few members of our Ground Control crew are enlisting in the United States Armed Forces. We couldn’t be more proud of them as they take this next step, but it means we have some big boots to fill!

We will have TWO positions opening at the end of August and are HIRING IMMEDIATELY so we can get our new team members trained and ready to go.

🌲 LANDSCAPING • LAWN CARE • GENERAL LABOR • SNOW REMOVAL

We’re looking for dependable, hardworking people who:
• Show up on time and ready to work
• Aren’t afraid of physical, outdoor work
• Can work well as part of a crew
• Take pride in doing a job right
• Want steady work and an opportunity to grow
• Are willing to work snow removal during the winter season

Experience in landscaping, equipment operation, lawn care, construction, or snow removal is a plus, but we are willing to train the right people.
