I'm often asked 'How much is a pool?' Pool construction has a lot of cost components that aren't JUST about the pool itself.

Below is a picture of a pretty typical backyard pool here in Georgia.

20,000 gallon pool with about 600 square feet of decking.

Pool - 60-80K - plaster to gunite
Pool equipment - 20K
Decking - 10-20K

Just the pool, pool equipment, and decking 90-120K. This cost would also include paying for the design, engineer stamp, permits, marking off of the pool, removal of soil.

BUT.......Pool construction destroys your yard and turf. Oftentimes, downspouts have to be buried and drop inlets installed to handle runoff.

Regrading, downspouts buried, and turf repair - 8k (average)

Do you need a retaining wall to make your yard flat? Retaining walls can get pricey fast! I've designed pools with walls starting at 10k and escalating to 100K.

Do you want landscaping around the pool(flowers, shrubs, small trees?) minimum for impactful landscaping with mulching - 10k. I've designed landscapes from 10k-80k around pools.

Boulders? - a large boulder can cost you 1k(for one)

Clients often want shade structures built as well and custom pergolas start at around - 10K (12x12Cedar) I've designed 20x20 cabanas that price out at 26K

Add a little spice to your July 4th!!
Amanda's Salsa
2 cans diced tomatoes (drained)
1/2 a yellow onion
1 cup chopped cilantro
Jalepenos or serranos to taste
2 T chili powder
1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp
1 can petite diced tomatoes(drained)
Put the 2 cans diced tomatoes, onion, jalepeno, and spices in a BLENDER- mix on high. Taste with a chips for hotness and cilantro. Add more cilantro or jalepeno if needed. We do HOT in this house since I'm from Texas. You want it a little hotter than needed because your going to mix in another can of tomatoes.
Dump in large bowl and stir in 1 can petite diced tomatoes to add chunkiness to salsa.
