🔍 ROOFING MYTH vs FACT #49

💨 Myth: “Adding more roof vents will fix an attic moisture problem.”

✅ Fact:

Attic ventilation works as a complete system. Fresh air needs a proper way to enter through intake ventilation, while hot, moist air needs an effective way to escape through exhaust ventilation.

If the system isn’t designed properly, simply adding another fan or roof vent may do very little—or it could interfere with the airflow that’s already there.

Attic moisture can also come from other sources, including blocked intake vents, inadequate insulation, bathroom or dryer exhaust, air leakage from the living space, or other moisture-related issues.

🏠 Before adding more ventilation, find out WHY the moisture is there.

A professional inspection of the roof and attic can help identify the actual cause so the right solution can be recommended instead of simply adding another vent.
