After many years serving the community through Leighton Electrical Services, Marc has officially accepted a position as a State Electrical Inspector.

This new role means he will no longer be performing electrical work for hire.

This outlet already showed signs of trouble on the outside — charring and melting around the receptacle.

The homeowner called after three outlets in her kitchen stopped working. When I opened this one up, we found severe overheating and corrosion behind the receptacle. The wiring had already started melting.

Situations like this can easily turn into electrical fires if they go unnoticed.

Fortunately, this one was caught in time and repaired safely.

If something in your home’s electrical system seems off — warm outlets, discoloration, flickering lights, or breakers tripping — it’s worth having it checked.
