Let the tap drip. Remember warm water freezes faster than cold. Drip the cold water.
Even a slow trickle of water from your faucet keeps the water in your pipes moving. That movement makes it more difficult for the water to freeze.

Set the Thermostat to 70! Yes 70!!!! Heat systems have to work harder during these temps to achieve efficiency.
Many like to turn the heat down at night to save on heating costs during the winter. Keeping your thermostat at a constant temperature during the day and night will reduce the strain on your furnace and reduce the likelihood of frozen pipes. 😁

Open Your Cabinets
Keeping your cabinets open will increase the circulation of hotter air around your uninsulated pipes, keeping your lines warm, especially on outside walls. You can also set up a fan to move more heated air into the pipes' vicinity.

Toilets that you don't often use...dump a little windshield washer fluid with the antifreeze in the back of the tank and give a few flushes.

Please please please be careful if you must use space heaters. Please ensure they are used safely and ventilated as instructed. Put on a sweater/hat and some slippers! Snuggle down and stay warm.

Queen Elizabeth II worked right up until her dying day. Today after listening to her son now King Charles speak. He spoke of his dearest mumma thanking her for her love and service. Charles wished that she fly high with the es**rt of angels. In light of this I thought I would post one of her favorite things. Lily of the valley. Lily of the valley means "return to happiness". How fitting! Fly with es**rt of the angels elegant Queen.
Most often Lily of the valley is seen at celebrations. With its fragrant scent it is often given as a bouquet wishing them luck and prosperity. Representing spring, hard work fertility and motherhood. Lastly there is belief that the little bells call the good spirits. You can hear it referred to as "Our ladys tears". This term refers to the tears the Virgin Mary cried for her crucified son.
I can certainly see why this flower is her favorite as it is and remains one of mine. Rest in peace. The world is thankful for your devotion.
