Did you know our Hudson Falls metal team does more than just monumental architectural metalwork?

While they’re best known for the incredible architectural and ornamental projects they create, they also fabricate a variety of custom specialty metal pieces.

The pictures below showcase just a couple examples, including a custom column wrap and a stainless-steel drain pan fabricated by our metal artisans.

No matter the project, the same quality craftsmanship and attention to detail go into every piece we build.

The before and after of this roof restoration already tells quite a story, and the team is only about one-third of the way through this massive project.

Applying this roof coating restoration, Greenwood’s Service team is helping bring new life to an aging roof in Boston.

Sometimes a full roof replacement isn’t the only option. The right restoration approach can revitalize an existing structure and help building owners get more value from their property.

Winter is right around the corner. If your roof is showing its age, now is the time to explore restoration solutions before the colder weather arrives.

Last weekend, Cassidy and Dom participated in the Falmouth Road Race with Team NECC.

Congratulations to both on setting new personal bests and, even more importantly, raising nearly $5,000 for the New England Center for Children!

An incredible accomplishment on and off the course. 💚 💙

Local projects are always rewarding, but this job was about as close to home as it gets.

The team recently completed a job on the Hudson Falls Fire Department and Police Department – located directly across the street from our Hudson Falls office.

The project included a full re-roof of the main roof area and repairs to the front roof section.

Our architectural metal artisans also fabricated and installed new ductwork to support a rooftop unit tie-in, delivering a seamless and cohesive building envelope solution.

For the team, it’s a daily reminder that their work has a tangible impact on their community.

Every time they pull into the office, they see the lasting effects of a project that helps support Hudson Falls’ first responders.

This weekend, Greenwood employees Cassidy Dale and Dom Grasseschi are taking on the Falmouth Road Race in support of the The New England Center for Children Inc. (NECC).

One of New England’s largest charity events, the race brings together thousands of runners for an unforgettable seven-mile course along Cape Cod.

NECC holds a special place in our hearts at Greenwood, and we’re proud to cheer on Cassidy and Dom as they run for this meaningful cause.

Support their efforts:

Ruggles Station’s distinctive arched roof provides Greenwood’s crew with a unique opportunity to showcase our innovation while upholding the same safety standards that have defined us throughout each project.

As part of an ongoing renovation project led by OHLA USA, Greenwood is replacing the station’s existing metal roof with a new EPDM roofing system.

While OHLA’s team handles the metal roof demolition, our crews are hard at work installing the new membrane across the surface.

The station’s unique design requires a specialized approach, with team members utilizing harnesses and belay systems to safely and efficiently scale the arched surface during installation.

This project highlights the importance of safety, quality craftsmanship, and flexibility.

With work continuing, Ruggles Station is on track to receive a roofing system built to support reliable performance for years to come.

As the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Safe and Sound Week, we’re recognizing a program that reflects months of hard work and collaboration across Greenwood.

This summer, our Safety Department launched a Heat Illness and Injury Prevention campaign to help protect construction teams during extreme heat. The program includes earlier start times when possible, shaded cooling stations, hydration breaks, and scheduling labor-intensive work earlier in the day.

It also provides project managers, superintendents, and foremen with training on our heat illness plan and tools such as the OSHA-NIOSH Heat Safety Tool app. When conditions allow, and no overhead hazards are present, hard-hat requirements may also be suspended for roofers.

Construction workers face demanding conditions during the summer. These practical changes help minimize the effects of extreme heat while keeping safety at the center of every project.

Kudos to everyone involved in planning and implementing this important program!
