Have you noticed an unusually wet spot in your yard lately? Don’t ignore it!
We’ve been getting quite a few calls for yard leaks and slab leaks, and the hot, dry weather can definitely play a role.
When we go long periods without much rain, the soil around our homes dries out and contracts. As conditions change, that soil can shift and put additional stress on underground water lines and plumbing beneath the home.
A few things to watch for:
• Wet or unusually green spots in the yard
• Water pooling when it hasn’t rained
• A sudden increase in your water bill
• Hearing water running when everything is turned off
• Your water meter moving when no water is being used
• Warm spots or unexplained moisture on floors
Catching a leak early can make a BIG difference. If something just doesn’t seem right, it’s worth having it checked before a small leak becomes a much bigger problem. Feel free to reach out to us with any questions you might have!
