Your home already has natural defenses against pests.

Doors, window screens, seals, vents, roofing materials, foundation walls, and other structural features all help separate your living space from the outdoors.

But every damaged screen, worn seal, open garage door, or unsealed gap can create another opportunity for pests.

Think of it as your home's defense system. The fewer weaknesses it has, the harder it can be for unwanted visitors to get inside.

Home Run Pest & Termite Control can help homeowners identify and address pest pressures before they turn into bigger household concerns.

Cockroaches are primarily nocturnal, which means nighttime is when they are often most active.

If you see one at night, it can be tempting to assume there are no others around during the day. But cockroaches can spend daylight hours hiding in dark, protected areas.

Potential hiding places include cracks, cabinets, appliances, wall voids, and other sheltered spaces.

Seeing cockroaches repeatedly, especially in different areas of the home, can be a sign that professional evaluation may be worthwhile.

Rodents are opportunistic feeders.

Food stored in easily accessible bags or containers can create an attractive target.

Keep pantry items, pet food, bird seed, and similar products in secure containers whenever possible. Also clean up crumbs and spills quickly.

Good food storage is a simple part of making your home less attractive to rodents.

Are you tired of coming up with an elevator pitch? Would you like someone else to do it?

Then Business Turducken Theater is for you!

Denise had so much fun combining Fully Promoted – Plano with Home Run Pest & Termite Control into one pitch last week that I want to do more.

Naturally, she whipped up a contraption.

Introducing the Business Turducken Spin-o-Matic!

How to play:

Give Denise your business card. There’s room for six brave volunteers.

Your card goes on the Spin-o-Matic. A spin determines which business will be paired with Home Run Pest & Termite Control OR Abracadabra Lawn Pest & W**d Control.

Discuss ideas with Denise—or let her run loose with ideas of her own. You can even join the skit.

If your business is selected, return next week for Business Turducken Theater featuring your company and one of the companies Denise represents!

Your 30 seconds will be combined with Denise's one minute for a full-fledged, 90-second theater production.

What could possibly go wrong?

If you’re still reading, you may be looking for the fine print. There is none.

Networking comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms of creativity. This one happens to involve a spinner and Denise's ridiculous collection of props.

Just an ordinary Friday at the Plano Chamber… featuring Business Turducken Theater!

When Craig Barrows of Fully Promoted Plano mentioned he’d miss a meeting, Denise stepped up to help. Naturally, she brought props.

A branded floor mat set the stage for Craig’s pitch. A rat provided the transition to Home Run Pest & Termite Control. Customers should feel welcome. Pests shouldn’t assume the invitation includes them.

We’re grateful to the Plano Chamber of Commerce for creating a positive environment where friendships are made and businesses across industries can collaborate.

When you see a line of ants marching across your kitchen or patio, you are often seeing more than random activity.

Ants commonly follow established trails between food or water sources and their colony.

That means simply wiping away the visible ants may not address the reason they keep returning.

Pay attention to where the trail begins and where it leads. Exterior cracks, landscaping, moisture, and accessible food can all contribute to recurring ant activity.

Understanding the pattern can be an important first step toward controlling the problem.

🐜 It’s October—and ants are still showing up uninvited.

Crumbs, moisture, and tiny entry points can keep ants coming indoors even as summer fades. If they keep returning, treating the ants you see may leave the colony behind.

Keep ants off your fall guest list. Contact Home Run Pest & Termite Control today for a free quote!
