Song by RUSH

There is unrest in the forest
Trouble with the trees
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas
The trouble with the maples
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade
There is trouble in the forest
And the creatures all have fled
As the maples scream, "Oppression"
And the oaks just shake their heads
So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights
They say, "The oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light"
Now there's no more oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw

The aphids have officially taken over. 🌲

Thanks to the mild winter we had, aphid populations are exploding this season.

Normally, colder temperatures help reduce overwintering pests, but this year many survived and multiplied early, leading to massive outbreaks on trees and shrubs across the region.

If your trees suddenly look sticky, shiny, dripping sap, or covered in giant bugs, you’re likely dealing with Giant Conifer Aphids. The honeydew they leave behind can attract ants, create black sooty mold, and put stress on already struggling trees.

When all you want is to enjoy your backyard, pest-free, this is not what you want to be greeted with. Systemic injections are the best form of treatment, killing off established and future populations, keeping your trees and shrubs healthy from the inside out. Give us a call today for a free estimate!

Homeowners often notice it before they see it. The lawn starts to feel harder, drier, or less responsive underfoot. No one wants to run through a yard that feels poky underneath your feet. The healthiest landscapes are often the ones that never reach full w**d takeover.

Preventative applications stop w**ds before they establish. If you aren't seeing w**ds in your landscape, now is not the time to cancel your upcoming service!

Growth starts below the surface, and our pre-emergent w**d control is designed to stop w**ds before they break through the soil surface. Continued treatments throughout summer months is encouraged to keep your shrub beds beautiful and w**d-free all year long!

That first w**d is usually easy to ignore…

but we wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re going for a bold “all yellow everything” look this season. 😜
