We recently wrapped up a challenging but incredibly rewarding project! The homeowner needed a complete overhaul for their basement entryway to properly retain the surrounding materials. The original wall and stairs were failing, so we started with a full demolition to give us a clean slate.
To solve the structural issues and elevate the look of the property, we built a brand-new mortared retaining wall using beautiful Pennsylvania Fieldstone. We then custom-built mortared rock stairs, capping them with premium 4-foot bluestone treads. To tie it all together, we added a natural flagstone walkway leading down to the new stairs and finished the surrounding area with clean crushed stone.
This was a tricky build, but we are extremely proud of how this complete transformation turned out.

From outdated asphalt to a custom granite entrance. ⚒️
Just wrapped up this two-phase project in York, ME.
• Phase 1: We removed the old asphalt walkway and replaced it with a modern three-piece paver design, finished with a sharp charcoal border and four solid granite steps.
• Phase 2: Created a clean transition from the outdoor shower to the porch. This new path also doubles as a cozy seating area for those Maine summer days.
Finished everything off with fresh loam and seed for a crisp look. Total curb appeal transformation!
