We are looking for Equipment Operators to join our team. We are looking for people who like to be outdoors, are dependable, hardworking team players, are detail oriented and take ownership of their work. The Equipment Operators will operate heavy machinery including, but not limited to, track hoes, tractors, skid loaders, soil preparator, brush mower, auger, plow truck, etc. in accordance with company procedures and state law. Perform a variety of landscape activities, including, but not limited to, planting, digging, spreading topsoil and other materials, general lawn maintenance, and hardscape construction for residential and commercial clients, as directed by a Crew Leader.
Positive attitude, clean driver’s license and the ability to be trained are required. CDL preferred but not required. Experience with site layout, grading and trenching is a plus.
Essential Functions
Operate heavy machinery including, but not limited to, track hoes, tractors, skid loaders, soil preparator, commercial mower, auger, plow truck, etc. in accordance with company procedures and state law.
Clean and perform light maintenance tasks on a variety of heavy equipment.
Train others to clean and operate equipment in a safe manner.
Operate push, walk behind and riding mowers in a safe fashion as needed.
Performs and supervises turf maintenance (mowing, etc.) and fills in as needed as crew foreman.
Clean work area using mechanical blowers or a broom.
Operates plow/salt truck and hand shovels.
Completes required paperwork and submits to the Foreman/Crewleader on a timely basis.
Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Basic math skills.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
Proficient in the operation of various pieces of landscape equipment
Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol Screening
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds several times per day.
Frequent bending and reaching.
